Unlucky Leclerc has to let Verstappen slip away in overall standings

Max Verstappen took his seventh win of the season at the French Grand Prix. The two German drivers missed out on the points. Sebastian Vettel was eleventh, Mick Schumacher finished 15th

Red Bull driver Verstappen benefited from the early retirement of his Ferrari rival Charles Leclerc, who was leading at the time.

In second and third place were the two Silver Arrows with Lewis Hamilton and George Russell. For the first time this season, both Mercedes drivers were on the podium, although they lagged behind in sixth and seventh place in the overall standings.

After the 12th of 22 races, Verstappen significantly extended his lead over Leclerc.

Red Bull also clearly dominate the Constructors’ Championship, now 82 points ahead of Ferrari. Mercedes remain in third place in the race for the overall standings.
