The 3rd league starts on August 4. On the weekend matchdays, two games are usually broadcast on free TV. Here is the overview up to matchday 6.
On Friday (August 4, 7 p.m.), Hallesche FC and Rot-Weiss Essen will open the new season in the 3. Liga. For the first time since the 3rd League came into existence, seven teams from NRW will be competing. If you want to watch all the games live, you need a MagentaSport subscription.
Only here will the 380 games be broadcast exclusively. 68 games can also be seen live on free-to-air television on ARD and its 3rd channels. ARD and the state broadcasters have the right to broadcast two live matches per weekend.
It has now been decided which matches will be shown on free TV until the end of September. WDR is also taking part, having so far been rather seldom involved when it comes to live matches in the 3rd League.
From NRW’s perspective, the first six matchdays will feature Preußen Münster and Arminia Bielefeld, each of which will be shown twice, while the matches involving Rot-Weiss Essen and MSV Duisburg will be shown once each.
Here is the overview
