Vingegaard wins the 2022 Tour de France – stage win goes to Belgian Philipsen

Jonas Vingegaard from Denmark has won the Tour de France – ahead of last year’s winner Tadej Pogacar from Slovenia. The duel between these two professional cyclists has determined the 2022 Tour. Last year, Vingegaard had come second.

The 25-year-old Dane Vingegaard is a family man and also embraced his wife Trine Hansen and daughter Frida in Paris.

The last stage on the Champs Elysées in the French capital was won by Jasper Philipsen from Belgium – ahead of Dylan Groenewegen from the Netherlands.

The outstanding Dutch team Jumbo-Visma not only provides the winner Jonas Vingegaard – who also won the mountain classification – but also the best sprinter in the green jersey, the Belgian Wout van Aert.

The German Simon Geschke (36) had worn the dotted mountains jersey until a few days before the finish, but then collapsed on Thursday and had to give up the mountains victory to the overall winner Vingegaard.

Traditionally, the yellow jersey is not contested in the final stage in Paris.
