Staff reinforcements for SV Waldhof Mannheim and SV Wehen Wiesbaden. SVW strengthens its coaching team, SVWW its attack
At the start of the training camp, SV Waldhof Mannheim has completed its coaching team. Following the departure of Michael Boris, who has returned to a managerial role in Hungary – Forecasting reported – the position of assistant coach analysis was still vacant.
Marco Antwerpen, Frank Döpper, Dirk Stelly and Florian Beck will be joined by Frank Eulberg, who has already gained a lot of experience as an assistant coach and worked with Marco Antwerpen in Braunschweig, among others. The 61-year-old worked as an assistant coach at Cottbus and Bielefeld, among others.
“In Frank, we have found a good and experienced solution for the vacant assistant coach position. He knows Marco from Braunschweig and will integrate well into our existing coaching team. The training camp will give Frank the perfect opportunity to get to know the team, the staff and the coaching team better,” sa

SV Wehen Wiesbaden: Winger for the relegated second division team
Ryan Johansson is moving to SV Wehen Wiesbaden. The 23-year-old Luxembourger with Irish citizenship joins from SC Freiburg II. Both clubs have agreed not to disclose the terms of the transfer.
“Ryan will be a great asset to us with his courage, pace and dynamism. He has enjoyed a very good education in France, Germany, Spain and the Netherlands, which will benefit his game,” said SVWW Managing Director of Sport Uwe Stöver.
Born in Luxembourg, Johansson joined FC Bayern Munich’s youth team in 2017 and played there in both the B and A Junior Bundesliga.
Via Sevilla B and a loan to Dutch first division club Fortuna Sittard, the 23-year-old eventually ended up in the 3rd division with SC Freiburg’s second team. Johansson made 27 appearances there last season. The winger, who can play on both attacking flanks, also made a total of 28 appearances for the Ireland, Luxembourg and Sweden U-national teams.
“The good talks with the club’s management and the prospects I was given convinced me to move to SVWW. I’m really looking forward to the new challenge and want to achieve both our common and my personal goals together with the team,” said Johansson.
