VfL Bochum put in a dismal performance in their 7-2 defeat in Frankfurt. Now Dieter Hecking is taking over as coach. He has a lot of work to do. Our new episode of Talk.
VfL Bochum’s 0-5 defeat to Bayern Munich was followed by a 2-7 defeat at Eintracht Frankfurt. The team led by captain Anthony Losilla did not look Bundesliga-worthy. Interim coach Markus Feldhoff said afterwards that he would take responsibility. He said he had failed to get the team to play in a way that would lead to success. As Sunday progressed, it became increasingly clear that Feldhoff would be stepping down again: Dieter Hecking will take over as coach. On Monday afternoon, the Bundesliga club announced the appointment.
In a new episode of our VfL talk show “Inside VfL – the Stadtwerke Bochum talk show from WAZ and Radio Bochum,” reporters Günther Pohl and Markus Rensinghoff talk to host Nicole Dreisbach about the dismal performance in Frankfurt, the search for a new coach, and what the future holds with Dieter Hecking as coach.
