Fortuna Köln leads the Regionalliga West with a commanding lead. Coach Matthias Mink’s team has lost only once this season and, almost as a logical consequence, sits in first place.

Behind them, only Rot-Weiß Oberhausen and FC Schalke 04 II can still hope for promotion to the 3rd Division. Schalke II actually has a slightly better chance of influencing the outcome, as a direct showdown with Fortuna Cologne is still to come.

The West German Football Association has now set the exact dates for matchdays 28, 29, and 30. On Saturday, April 4, at 2 p.m., Fortuna Köln will first visit Borussia Dortmund II. The match against Schalke’s reserves is scheduled eight days later, on Sunday, April 12, at 2 p.m.
