Wuppertaler SV presents new youth director and U19 coach

Wuppertaler SV, a regional league club threatened with relegation, is reorganizing and expanding its youth program. The club announced two personnel changes.

Wuppertaler SV has reorganized the management of its youth program: Marc Bach will take over responsibility for the Löwenstall with immediate effect.

The DFB Elite Youth License holder, who most recently worked in the Oberliga at TVD Velbert and in the Bezirksliga at FSV Vohwinkel, has been head coach of the WSV U19 team since the summer.

Following the departure of Tom Welz, Chris Pölking, Dominik Evangelou, and Philip Walz had jointly managed the Löwenstall. “WSV would like to express its sincere thanks for their special commitment during a period of significantly increased workload. All three will remain in the team and will support Marc Bach in his new role in the future,” according to a press release from the regional league club.

Bach emphasizes that the move is not an easy one for him: “I am leaving the U19 with a heavy heart! It is a fantastic group of players who have been incredibly enjoyable to work with. It was important to me that the team was in the best hands – and with Ismail Jaroui, we have more than succeeded in that.”

The request from WSV to succeed Tom Welz quickly set the course for him: “It was clear to me that this would be my new area of responsibility. I want to continue and build on the good groundwork laid by Tom Welz and Stefan Vollmerhausen with a great deal of commitment in order to further strengthen youth development at WSV.”

As Bach already revealed: The new U19 coach is Ismail Jaroui, holder of a B license. Jaroui coached regional league club SSVg Velbert during the current season and previously led Velbert to the top of the Oberliga and into the Regionalliga West. Prior to that, he gained experience working with young players at Rot-Weiß Oberhausen. Jaroui is particularly looking forward to the task: “Wuppertal is my home. Born and raised here, it is very special for me to promote the sporting development of young talent locally in the future. I look forward to continuing on our path with passion, commitment, and clear development together with the coaching and support team as well as all those responsible at the club, and to actively shaping the future of our traditional club.”
