Rot Weiss Ahlen has once again enriched its squad with a midfielder. He played for international top clubs in his youth.
Rot Weiss Ahlen has signed Alexander Cvetkovic from Regionalliga-Südwest relegated Eintracht Trier. Last season, he played twelve matches (two goals) for the team from the Mosel.
The 26-year-old, who has both Croatian and English citizenship, was born in London and has been around a lot.
He already gained experience in the Croatian 1st League and was under contract with Dragovoljac and HNK Sibenik. In his youth, Cvetkovicr played for Blauw-Zwart (2001-2003), HVV Den Haag (2003-2005) and Quick (2005) in the Netherlands and in England for West Ham (2006-2008), Tottenham Hotspurs (2008-2011) Manchester United (2011-2013), Norwich (2013) and Wigan (2014-2015).
“We are confident that Cvetkovic will have a positive impact on the team with his talent and experience. His ability to operate both defensively and offensively makes him an extremely flexible player who can take on different roles in the team. We are pleased that we were able to realise the signing,” says Orhan Özkara, sports director of Regionalliga West club Rot Weiss Ahlen.
