Six players still on the list – quartet about to leave

With just a few days to go before the start of the regional league round at Borussia Mönchengladbach II (February 3, 2 p.m.), there could still be changes to the Alemannia Aachen squad.

At the beginning of December 2023, Forecasting reported that five players could leave Alemannia Aachen in the 2024 winter transfer window.

Aaron Herzog (VfB Lübeck) and Radomir Novakovic (Eintracht Trier) have already left. RS also mentioned the names of Vincent Schaub (576 minutes played), Franko Uzelac (740), Cas Peters (296) and Beyhan Ametov (268) in December.

“There are always players who are unhappy. But I can’t confirm these names. We haven’t spoken to any players and suggested that they leave the club. Once again: We stick to our contracts,” emphasized Sascha Eller, Aachen’s Head of Sport, at the time.

RS now knows – as of January 30, 2024 – that Schaub is not among the transfer candidates. However, Peters, who is in negotiations with FSV Frankfurt, Ametov and Uzelac could still leave the Tivoli in the next few hours until the winter transfer window closes on February 1. There is also Elsamed Ramaj (817 minutes played in the current season), who, according to the “Aachener Zeitung”, is in contact with VfB Oldenburg, where former Aachen coach Fuat Kilic is coach.

Should two or even three more players ease Aachen’s budget, coach Heiner Backhaus could also receive one of his dream players.

After signing Leroy Zeller (UCSB Gauchos/USA), Anas Bakhat (1. FC Düren), Florian Heister (Viktoria Köln) and Thilo Töpken (SV Rödinghausen), Aachen are still keen on signing defensive midfielder Nino Miotke from TSV Steinbach Haiger, who has a shared past with Backhaus at Rot-Weiß Koblenz.

“I can confirm that this is an interesting player. We know him, the coach knows him well. But as far as I know, he is under contract and is not an unimportant player in Steinbach. And what I can reveal is that we will definitely not be paying a transfer fee,” said Eller just a few weeks ago. Perhaps something has changed in this respect too. Because according to RS information, Aachen transferred a transfer fee to Rödinghausen for Töpken…
