After two years without a club, Mark Zeh has found a new one. Or rather, an old one.
Mark Zeh is back. The 42-year-old, born in Essen, is returning to the sidelines at FC Wegberg-Beeck. Beeck, currently tenth in the Mittelrheinliga, have parted ways with their previous coach Albert Deuker. “The decisive factor for the separation was disagreements about the sporting direction. Along with Albert Deuker, the two assistant coaches André Lehnen and Thomas Thönnessen have also left the club,“ Beecker announced in a statement about the ”amicable separation.“
Mark Zeh, an old acquaintance, will take over training the team on Tuesday, February 10. ”We never lost contact with Mark after his first stint with us. He wants to help the team and the club through a difficult phase and will take on the task until the end of the season,” said Beeck’s first managing director, Werner Tellers. Zeh was already responsible for the team from March 2021 to February 2024, but was then relieved of his duties three days after a 0-2 home defeat against 1. FC Bocholt.

“After the developments of the last few weeks and five consecutive competitive defeats, the team urgently needs a new impetus,” Tellers had said at the time. Now he is returning to the Waldstadion until the end of the current season.
According to RS information, Mark Zeh had also been in talks with SSVg Velbert recently. In October, SSVg was looking for a successor to Ismail Jaouri. “I was not a current candidate at SSVg Velbert. There was talk of this in the summer, but not now,” Zeh told RevierSport at the time, adding that there had been no contact.
He added: “I had a lot to do professionally and took some time off. We’ll see what happens in the future. Any offer has to be interesting.” He has now found that, at least for the time being, at FC Wegberg-Beeck. He brings with him experience from 71 games in the Regionalliga West and 30 games in the Mittelrheinliga.
