Kickers Offenbach just can’t seem to find their way back to success. The next coaching change is complete.
After the recent 1-1 draw at FC 08 Homburg, Kickers Offenbach officials announced the departure of head coach Kristjan Glibo. The 43-year-old had only been OFC coach for 24 competitive games, averaging 1.42 points per game. The Kickers have been playing in the Regionalliga Südwest for over a decade and are lagging behind their own expectations. For years, the traditional Hessian club, which plays at the cult venue Stadion am Bieberer Berg, has been trying to gain promotion to the 3rd league. In the current season, Offenbach are in 14th place – a potential relegation spot. Currently, however, only SSV Ulm 1846, representing the southwest in the 3rd division, is in a relegation spot. Until further notice, training and coaching of the team will be taken over by the previous assistant coaching team. Fabio Audia and Eric Schaaf, together with goalkeeper coach René Keffel and athletic trainer Bastian Kliem, will be responsible for the team.

“OFC would like to express its sincere thanks to Kristjan Glibo for his commitment and hard work for Kickers Offenbach. The club wishes him all the best and every success in his future professional and personal life,” said a press release.
Glibo was presented on July 1, 2025, as the successor to Christian Neidhart (currently with Blau-Weiß Lohne). Under the promotion-winning coach from Rot-Weiss Essen, OFC had its best season in years in 2024/2025. Offenbach finished second, but Neidhart left Bieberer Berg after two years and 76 competitive games (1.68 points per game).
The last time the Kickers played in the 3rd division was in the 2012/2013 season. Rico Schmitt was relegated with OFC at the time and initially remained as coach in the regional league.
He was followed by coaches such as Oliver Reck, Daniel Steuernagel, Angelo Barletta, Steven Keßler, Sreto Ristić, Alexander Schmidt, Ersan Parlatan, Alfred Kaminski, Christian Neidhart, and most recently Kristjan Glibo.
