The English week in the 3. league ends for Rot-Weiss Essen on Saturday with the match against BVB II. It should be a home game for RWE.
On the fourth matchday of the 3. Liga, Rot-Weiss Essen has an away game at BVB’s U23 (Saturday, 13 August, 2 pm). The match will take place at Signal-Iduna-Park, which seats over 80,000 spectators. .
5,000 tickets will be available to the Essen team in the first batch, these are in the standing-room section of the north stand in blocks 8, 60 and 61. In addition, there are seat tickets in blocks 55 to 59. As RWE announced on Wednesday, 4,300 have been sold out so far, so the 5,000 are sure to be sold.
If more Esseners want to make the trip to Dortmund, that is not a problem, because the Dortmunders would increase the contingent at any time. This was announced by the club in the run-up to the match.
Tickets can still be purchased via the BVB online shop. Tickets are still available in the standing-room blocks 8 and 60 (5 euros) and in the seating blocks of the north-east stand. Here, tickets cost 10 euros, and 5 euros for under-18s.
Presumably, RWE will have a home game in Dortmund despite their false start in the league, even if that hasn’t been an advantage so far. The two home games at Hafenstraße against SV Elversberg (1:5) and Viktoria Köln (1:4) were both clearly lost. However, BVB II also had to put up with a good beating at home, losing 0:4 against FC Ingolstadt in their only home game so far.
On Wednesday evening, however, BVB still has to play its match from Matchday 3. They will play 1. FC Saarbrücken at 7 p.m.
