In the Oberliga Westfalen derby between ASC Dortmund and TuS Bövinghausen, the favorites from Aplerbeck came out on top 2-0.
ASC Dortmund won the Dortmund derby against TuS Bövinghausen in true top team fashion. In a tough game, the team currently in second place in the Oberliga Westfalen came out on top with a confident 2-0 victory.
In the first half, ASC newcomer Semin Kojic scored the 1-0 (25th minute). After halftime, Maximilian Podehl (70th minute) put the lid on it.
“You could see the experience and the individual class of the opponent in the two goals. Nevertheless, I have to give my team a huge compliment. The whole team trained well and was well prepared for the game. We will continue to improve in the next few games and see the quality we will bring to the pitch,” said a not dissatisfied guest coach Danny Voß.
The TuS team was almost completely reformed. Due to 17 departures, the team was completely renewed and thrown together. The guest showed a strong fighting performance and stood up to the second of the league.
ASC coach Marco Stiepermann was also full of praise: “I don’t know how Bövinghausen will do in the future, but that was a decent performance for a team that’s only been together for a few days. They’ll be a handful for a few other teams in the league.”
Meanwhile, the player-coach is also satisfied with his team’s performance: “I would say it was a good victory through hard work. I demanded from the boys what they brought to the pitch. As always, a compact defense. We played almost flawlessly, didn’t give up anything and then lived up to the role of favorites.”
While the ASC consolidated its position in second place in the league, level on points with the league leaders from Lotte, Bövinghausen remained in tenth place, at least for one night. After the squad change, the goal was to stay in the league.
A plan that Voß is still pursuing after the match against the ASC: “I think anyone who was at the game and saw the passion and discipline that was shown saw that. You can’t get everything perfect in such a short time of two and a half weeks. That’s a matter of course. From what I’ve seen, I’m 100 percent convinced that we’ll stay in the league.”
