Dynamo Dresden squandered a win at leaders SV Elversberg. The SGD conceded a late equaliser.
Dynamo Dresden earned a point in the top match of the 3. Fußball-Liga at SV Elversberg. After a long lead of the Saxons, the final score was 1:1 (0:1). Stefan Kutschke (23rd minute) had given the Saxons the lead. Joker Eros Dacaj (81st) scored the equaliser with a penalty kick. The game in Elversberg was watched by 7,219 spectators. It was Dynamo’s eighth game in a row without defeat.
The home side had the first chance to score in the match. Valdrin Mustafa (5th) measured himself at the edge of the penalty area and tested SGD goalkeeper Stefan Drljaca. The 23-year-old made a fine save to deflect the ball around the post. On the other side, Dresden did better. After a free-kick, Kutschke was able to slide the ball in unchallenged. Up until the break, Dynamo were convincing defensively and rarely allowed Elversberg to create any goal-scoring opportunities.
Immediately after the restart, Dresden pressed for the 2:0 and the best chance came from defensive player Claudio Kammerknecht (47th). However, his powerful shot hit the crossbar instead of the goal. As a result, Elversberg became stronger and stronger. But the home side also lacked the final accuracy. After a foul by SGD defender Max Kulke, referee Michael Bacher pointed to the spot. Dacaj stepped up and, with a lot of luck, equalised the score at 1:1.
In the second Sunday match, second division relegated Erzgebirge Aue won 2:1 (0:1) against 1. FC Saarbrücken. Calogero Rizzuto (27.) was successful for FCS to 1:0, Dimitrij Nasarow (48.) and Antonio Jonjic (80.) ensured the turnaround in favour of the Saxons with their goals. They lost Antonio Jonjic to a red card after an assault (88th).
