Between skyscrapers: river crossing on a slackline.

The spectators held their breath until he arrived safely on the other side. At a dizzying height between Rotterdam’s two tallest buildings, Jaan Roose has his balance under control: 625 metres it was over the New Maas near the Erasmus Bridge for him. With the help of a slackline, the 30-year-old Estonian made his way across the river.
The line was only two centimetres wide. Due to the height differences of the buildings, it sometimes had a gradient of up to 24 percent. Rotterdam’s tallest skyscraper “De Zalmhaven” has a total height of 215 metres, the second tallest “Masstoren” is 164.8 metres high.

Jaan Roose started slacklining at the age of 18. Again and again he seeks to challenge himself with similar crossings. He is now a three-time world champion in his discipline. In addition, Roose works as a stuntman.
