Dynamo Dresden celebrates its first win in four games without a win thanks to a last-minute goal. Alemannia Aachen draws with the second-placed team.

The 12th matchday of the 3rd division kicked off with a spectacle on Friday evening. FC Ingolstadt won 5:3 (2:2) against the second team of Borussia Dortmund. BVB was already leading 2:0 before the Schanzer came back and turned the game around impressively.

In the battle of the bottom teams, Rot-Weiss Essen lost 0:4 to Hansa Rostock. The other matches on Saturday were more exciting, even if there were fewer goals. Arminia Bielefeld have been in great form recently and faced Alemannia Aachen. Aachen came from their two consecutive victories and with a great deal of self-confidence to the match against Bielefeld, who are in second place.

Mitch Kniat’s team took an early lead when Aachen goalkeeper Elias Bördner made a serious mistake when he tried to accept a back pass, but the ball slipped over his foot and then rolled into his own goal (3rd minute). Alemannia was awarded a penalty in the 35th minute, giving them a great chance to equalize: Anton Heinz took the penalty, but Bielefeld goalkeeper Jonas Kersken guessed the corner and parried the penalty kick.

Shortly after the break, Aachen did equalize. Lukas Scepanik scored the 1:1 (53rd minute) after an assist from Thilo Töpken. In the end, it stayed that way. It was the sixth game in a row without defeat for the team from Aachen.

The negative streak of Dynamo Dresden, on the other hand, came to an end. After four consecutive games without a win, Dynamo beat the second team of Hannover 96 2-1 (0-1). Lukas Wallner put the Lower Saxony team ahead in the 17th minute, but Robin Meißner (78th) and Oliver Batista Meier (90th + 2) turned the game in favor of Dresden late in the second half.

SpVgg Unterhaching continue to struggle and remain deep in the relegation zone. Despite taking the lead, they were unable to beat Viktoria Cologne, with the game ending 1-1 (1-0). Andy Breuer scored the opening goal for Haching (11th), with Lex Tyger Lobinger saving Cologne at least a point (66th).

Bottom-placed VfL Osnabrück also drew 1:1 (0:1) with 1. FC Saarbrücken. The team from the Saarland were already down to ten men after just 27 minutes, because Lasse Wilhelm received a second yellow card. Nevertheless, Sebastian Vasiliadis scored for the FCS (41′), but in the second half they had to accept the equalizer from Bastien Conus (57′). VfL also ended the game with only ten men, because Erik Engelhardt was shown the red card (73′).
