There will be changes in the coaching team at ESC Rellinghausen this summer. The Essen-based regional league club has signed two new co-trainers.
ESC Rellinghausen is not yet sure of its status as a Landesliga club for the coming season. With a three-point lead over the possible eleventh relegation place, the Essen team will have to collect a few more points before the end of the season.
In another respect, however, there is already clarity. The Rellinghausen team has finalised the line-up of its coaching staff for the coming season. Head coach Sascha Behnke has now found two new assistant coaches. Leon Nolte and Henning Honisch will join the ESC for the 2023/24 season.
They will take over from Niklas Tietz, who already left the club in the winter due to differing views on the division of labour, and Simon Spazier, who is currently supporting Behnke but will be taking a little time off.
According to the club’s statement, Nolte will “lead the fortunes on and off the pitch with Behnke” and is already involved in squad planning for the upcoming season. The 24-year-old moves to Krausen Bäumchen as head coach of A-Ligisten Essener SG, but had to end his own active career early due to injury.
Meanwhile, Honisch’s focus is said to be on scouting, video analysis and observing opponents. The 25-year-old also comes from ESG. “We extend a warm welcome to Leon and Henning at the ESC 06 and hope for successful years,” the Essen team wrote on their website.
And a lot has already happened with regard to the team, too. Captain Dominik Huxholt, his deputies Niklas Piljic and Simon Neuse, as well as Luca Krämer, Robin Wicker, Adrian Saitovski, Julian Bluni, Eugen Pirogov, Erik May have already made commitments beyond the summer.
