Former Bundesliga player takes over the U17 team

KFC Uerdingen has introduced a new coach for its U17 team. It is a former Bundesliga professional.

The U17 team of KFC Uerdingen has signed a new coach.

At the start of the second half of the season, Andreas Voss will become head coach of KFC’s U17 team, replacing Burak Feyizoglu. The A-licence holder Voss will thus be in charge of the U17 (KFC) and U15 (SC Bayer) teams and thus accompany the transition of players between the two clubs. This is because both clubs cooperate in this performance area.

The double function underlines the importance of the cooperation, youth manager Sebastian Thißen: “With Andreas Voss, we are gaining an excellently trained coach who will further advance our U17s. This commitment is another building block of the cooperation, which looks ahead to the tasks ahead.”

Thißen continues: “KFC would like to expressly thank Burak Feyizoglu for the very good cooperation and wish him all the best for his further professional and private future.”

The Stolberg-born player was also under contract with VfL Wolfsburg and Bayer Leverkusen. In total, Voss made 95 appearances in the 2nd Bundesliga and 22 games in the 1st Bundesliga. In addition, he has played 21 games in the Regionalliga and nine in the Oberliga.
