Lippstadt start perfectly, Straelen lose to Kaan

The DFB Cup participants in the Regionalliga West had their catch-up games from Matchday 2 on Wednesday. While Lippstadt start perfectly, Straelen remain pointless

SV Lippstadt – SV Rödinghausen 2:0 (1:0)

After a strong start to the season and two wins in the league as well as a strong cup performance against TSG Hoffenheim, SV Rödinghausen are now without a point for the first time.SV Lippstadt, on the other hand, celebrated their third win in their third game on Wednesday evening and can be happy about a start made to measure with nine points and 6:1 goals. Henri Matter had given the Lippstadt side the lead at half-time, Viktor Maier provided the decider and the home victory for SV Lippstadt, who will be satisfied as second in the table.

The next match will be played next weekend. While Rödinghausen welcomes Schalke 04’s U23, Lippstadt will be looking for their fourth win in a row against Kaan-Marienborn at the same time.

SV Straelen – FC Kaan-Marienborn 0:1 (0:1)

The Westphalians decided the duel between the two DFB Cup participants in their favour. Daniel Hammel scored the goal of the day for the visitors. Kaan-Marienborn have thus made a very successful start with seven points from three games (2:1 against Gladbach II, 1:1 against the U23 of 1. FC Köln), while Straelen remain winless and without points. The false start under new coach Sunday Oliseh is thus perfect.

The next opponent for Straelen will be the still unbeaten promoted team from Düren, who are guests in Straelen on Saturday (13 August, 2 p.m.).
