Rot-Weiss Essen II and Westfalia Dortmund have both won all 19 games. Both can theoretically clinch promotion on the same day in April.
Rot-Weiss Essen II did not show any weakness in their 19th game in the Kreisliga B. They won 6-0 against RuWa Dellwig II, their 19th three-pointer in their 19th game. Emre Kilic was the top scorer with three goals and now leads the scoring charts with 44 goals.
As Ballfreunde Bergeborbeck and DJK TuS Essen-Holsterhausen II also won their respective games, everything remains the same at the top.
RWE II are 13 and 17 points ahead of their rivals respectively. With nine matches still to play, it is now clear when the corks could pop. Holsterhausen II can still pick up 27 points at best, and if they manage that, they would have 64 points.
For coach Stefan Lorenz’s team from Essen, this means. Three more wins and promotion to the Kreisliga A is perfect. It could be April 21 at the latest, after the away game against Frintrop.
If DJK TuS Essen-Holsterhausen II fails to finish in third place before then, it could even be mathematically certain before then.
Project manager Frank Kurth has already emphasized. “We’re already in the middle of planning for the new season. Many players from the current squad have agreed to stay. In addition, we have already secured numerous reinforcements – including from the district league – who we are really looking forward to.”
Westfalia Dortmund can be promoted almost simultaneously with RWE
The situation in Dortmund’s Kreisliga B1 is similar to that in Essen’s Kreisliga B1. Here too, Westfalia Dortmund have dominated at will, winning 19 of their 19 games.
At the weekend, they celebrated a 15:0 victory at Westfalia Kirchlinde. The team has a 15-point lead over the top three chasers with seven matchdays remaining.
This means that one of the chasing teams (DJK BW Huckarde II) already has one game more, while SV Westrich II and TuS Kruckel have a maximum of 63 points.
For Westfalia Dortmund, this means that on April 21 – as with RWE II – the home game against RW Barop II could be the perfect day to clinch the top spot.
