Winning streak continues: Verstappen wins Belgian Grand Prix

It is the eighth consecutive victory of the season for the Dutch Red Bull driver. The two-time world champion is now getting closer and closer to his third world title.

Max Verstappen has extended his winning streak in Formula 1. The two-time champion also won the Belgian Grand Prix on Sunday. With his eighth consecutive win of the season, the 25-year-old Red Bull star is now just one victory behind the record of Sebastian Vettel, who won nine in a row in the Red Bull in 2013.

Verstappen’s teammate Sergio Pérez finished second on the seven-kilometer circuit at Spa-Francorchamps, with Charles Leclerc in the Ferrari coming third.

In the championship standings, Verstappen, who also won the sprint race on Saturday, leads by 125 points ahead of Mexican Pérez ahead of the summer break and his home Grand Prix in the Netherlands at the end of August.
