Joy at 1. FC Nürnberg and Greuther Fürth: The clubs from Franconia won in Dresden, i.e. Nürnberg, and Fürth beat Münster.
Coach Miroslav Klose and 1. FC Nürnberg continued their comeback in the 2nd Bundesliga, thanks in part to a lightning-fast goal. The club won 2-1 (1-1) at Dynamo Dresden and, after a weak start to the season, is now unbeaten in five games. Newly promoted Dresden, on the other hand, is still waiting for its first home win.
Rafael Lubach (1st) gave FCN the lead after just 14 seconds, the fastest goal of the second division season so far. After Dominik Kother (45th+1) equalized, Tim Janisch (51st) scored the winning goal. Dynamo has now gone nine games without a win, and coach Thomas Stamm’s team remains in a direct relegation spot. The Dresden fans were still standing under a huge block flag when the ball was already in their own net: 18-year-old Artem Stepanow passed to Lubach, who scored in the top right corner. Dynamo tried hard to get back into the game, but the visitors remained the more dangerous side. Mohamed Ali Zoma produced a spectacular overhead kick, but Dresden goalkeeper Lennart Grill was on hand to save (31st minute). Shortly before half-time, Kother equalized with a low shot.
Dresden’s hopes were dashed right at the start of the second half when Janisch scored to put the Franconians back in the lead. After that, Nuremberg was closer to scoring a third goal than Dresden was to scoring a second. It remains to be seen what will happen in Dresden with coach Thomas Stamm.
Substitute Dehm secures late victory for Fürth against Münster Thomas Kleine has ended Fürth’s losing streak. The coach celebrates in stoppage time after a substitute scores the winner in a 1-0 victory over Preußen Münster.
Fürth (dpa) – A dream goal from substitute Jannik Dehm gave coach Thomas Kleine and SpVgg Greuther Fürth a much-needed win in the 2nd Bundesliga. After five league games without a win, the Franconians defeated Preußen Münster 1-0 (0-0) on Friday evening.
After a throw-in, substitute Dehm scored with a thunderous long-range shot in the fifth minute of stoppage time. Before that, Kleine and Fürth had been unlucky: two offside goals were disallowed after video review in front of 10,175 spectators at Sportpark Ronhof.
After the most beautiful attacking move of the first half involving offensive players Noel Futkeu, Branimir Hrgota, and Felix Klaus, the ball ended up in the net. However, Klaus’s precise pass to Futkeu in the 28th minute showed the center forward to be marginally offside when he scored, as the video review revealed. In the 89th minute, the offside position was more obvious when substitute Aaron Keller scored. Captain Jorrit Hendrix almost scored the winning goal in the 87th minute, but his shot was deflected onto the post by Fürth goalkeeper Silas Prüfrock. Dehm then had more luck with his shot in Fürth’s last attempt. Fürth: Prüfrock – Dietz, Münz, Itter – Reich (66. Dehm), Olesen, Green, Abrangao – Hrgota (80. Keller) – Klaus (90.+7 Srbeny), Futkeu (80. Sillah)
Münster: Schenk – ter Horst, Heuer, Jaeckel, Kirkeskov (57. Bolay) – Preißinger (70. Paetow), Bouchama (46. Makridis), Hendrix, Sertdemir (80. Meyerhöfer) – Lokotsch (80. Vilhelmsson), Batista Meier
