KFC Uerdingen is once again active in the transfer market. A fullback is joining the team—much to the delight of Coach Julian Stöhr.
Ibuki Noguchi is leaving SV Schermbeck and moving to a different division: He’s moving from the Oberliga Westfalen to the Oberliga Niederrhein to join KFC Uerdingen. The Japanese player is a versatile fullback who can play on either side.
“I had already brought Ibuki into the game back in November because he’s a fullback who can play on both sides, has a good attacking drive, and makes few defensive mistakes. He’s a great addition to our team,” said his new coach, Julian Stöhr, expressing his delight over the transfer.
In the current Oberliga season, Noguchi has played 14 games for SV Schermbeck. Before joining Schermbeck, the Japanese player played for TuS Bövinghausen (Oberliga Westfalen, 24/25; twelve games, two goals), SpVg Porz (Mittelrheinliga, 23/24; 28 games, three goals), and MSV Düsseldorf (Oberliga Niederrhein, 22/23; 37 games, one goal), as well as for the Landesliga clubs FC Remscheid, VSF Amern, Hilal-Maroc, and FC Viersen.
“I’m really looking forward to Krefeld, the fantastic fans, and the great stadium. Of course, I want to help the team continue on its successful path,” said the Tokyo native. With this move, the fullback is taking the opposite path from Kingsley Marcinek, who, as is well known, turned his back on KFC and joined the Westphalia Oberliga club after the first half of the season.

Previously, KFC Uerdingen had already introduced a new goalkeeper, Justin Möllering—who came from league rival FC Büderich. Möllering was the starting goalkeeper for Büderich in the first half of the season, playing in 15 of 17 Oberliga matches. Now he will compete for the starting spot at KFC Uerdingen against the current number one, Jonas Holzum.
Tied on points with SpVg Schonnebeck (both with 29 points), KFC is still eyeing promotion to the Regionalliga. However, first place and Ratingen 04/19 are already six points ahead.
FC Büderich, on the other hand, sits in tenth place—and has already settled the question of who will succeed Möllering. The club has already introduced Robin Offhaus as its new goalkeeper.
